Suddenly people are aware of that power, their own weakness and
dependency. The threat that you may do it again, any time, looms over
the future.
It's good that every now and again the corporate mask drops. That's
healthy for reminding people that companies aren't nice fluffy friends
doing business out of the goodness of their hearts. So people make
contingent arrangement, plan mitigations, and that boosts competition,
it's refreshing.
People were too comfortable with Unity.
Perhaps it would be good if Github (Microsoft) also dropped the mask a
bit more often, because there's a dangerous concentration of power and
dependency if ever there was one.
