I’ll say it before and I’ll say it again:

The apple App Store needs to display what permissions an app can even ask for.

I understand that iOS allows me to deny requested permissions.

I want to see, in advance, the entire scope of permissions that the app can potentially ask for.

This will allow users to make more sophisticated assessments of incentives and business models prior to install.

Apple knows this information - they should make it available.

Sure - it's just an aside - and something we should ask of all app stores.

They have this information, in advance, and can show it to us. I shouldn't be the only one demanding it.

In the past, it was specifically the iOS app store I have spoken of.


F droid does this already
