Apparently those 35% do not include samsung.com which does not use https:// at all, really!

What? https://www.samsung.com works just fine. I don't know why they don't have re-direct set up.

Ok, here is how I found it:

* google "samsung multiroom app for mac"

* the second link leads to http://www.samsung.com/uk/support/tv-audio-video/where-can-i...

* click the link that leads to the main page

* no https!

which was quite confusing..I mean if google does not redirect to https, I was full within the range of sane assumptions about Samsung not supporting https but I see that they actually do, thanks!

Browser usage patterns are very different in South Korea due to the Korean laws requiring obsolete (and no-longer-supported by modern systems) encryption for all retail transactions. That may have something to do with it.

To hide the fact that you're shopping from Samsung?

DNS ain't encrypted afaik. Snooper can see that you visited the site but not which url.

To prevent bad actors from intercepting your connection and injecting malicious scripts.

Crimes like these should not be hidden from the public but should be exposed!

I wonder why? Great wall?

In Korea?

Talking about the site's audience, in China
