Ask HN: How do you work in Crimea, Kosovo and other disputed territories?

There are plenty of territorial conflicts and unrecognized states in the world, where people have limited access to many internet services or no access at all because of current status of their homeland. Geospatial data may not be available, locations are missing or incorrect in address forms, payments blocked etc.

If your startup/service is working on a disputed territory, how do you deal with it?

What geographic data do you present to users from countries participating in dispute?

Do you have legal workarounds to work on both sides of the dispute?
