Do you Americans realize it means absolutely nothing to us when one of you "apologises for" Americans? You do that for you, not us. It's weird and gross. You don't speak for Americans. Americans speak for Americans, and the message is loud and clear.
If someone looks at (admittedly shitty) candidates like Harris and decides she's as bad as Trump it means the implicitly approve of Trump. You need a mushy brain to not see that there's shit (Harris) that there's Trump, orders or magnitude worse.
This is a really interesting blog post - the kind of old school stuff the web used to be riddled with. I must say - would it have been that hard to just write this by hand? The AI adds nothing here but the same annoying old AI-isms that distract from the piece.
Personally with the impending changes in the industry I feel like I'm better positioned as an engineering manager than an IC. If the bullish predictions come true and software development teams shrink dramatically or disappear I will not just be a developer - I'll be a manager. There is still an entire world of industries not impacted as much by AI - I could manage a team of mechanical engineers or conservationists or business analysts. These skills are more transferable outside of tech.
I love how every AI announcement is "introducing our best model yet" with a description about how their previous best yet was just laughable garbage and this one solves every problem.
